Descendants of Joseph F. Smith - We need everyone's help!

If we are going to keep our family genealogy current, we need help from all branches of the family. As we move forward in the 21st century, the technology available to us will be a great asset in accomplishing this goal.

If you have questions, contact the Data Stewards group by sending an e-mail to: .

A GEDCOM file for each branch of the family will be posted here to download.
Also, you can look at the information on the Joseph Smith Sr. and Lucy Mack Smith Foundation web site.

To download and access the GEDCOM files:

  1. Click the link with the RIGHT mouse button.
  2. Select either "Save Link As..." or "Save Target As..."
  3. Select and write down the location where you want to save the file and click "Save."
  4. Send an e-mail to with your name and your parents' names for verification. I will e-mail the password to unlock the self-extracting archives. The files have been encrypted to protect the information and yet make it accessible to verfied family members.
  5. After receiving the password, double-click on the file and follow the instructions provided.

Joseph F. Smith Family Burial Site

Bill Bingham, a University of Utah Institute faculty member and Associate Area Director for the Salt Lake East Area, has compiled a map and key of the Joseph F. Smith Family Burial Site in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. We offer many thanks for the effort he has made to complete this wonderful resource.
